#4 Sooners Latest To Go Down

The #4 ranked Oklahoma Sooners lost to the Texas Tech Red Raiders 34-27 at the Jones SBC Stadium in Texas. In a year full of crazy upsets and plenty of shifting in the BCS Standings, the Sooners were the ones to be upsetted after Oregon was upsetted by Arizona two days earlier. The Sooners still had hope of reaching the title game after Oregon's loss by winning the remainder of their games. But Texas Tech came and did what many unranked teams have done this year; destroy the chances of teams to reach the national championship game. Graham Harrell, the quarterback for the Red Raiders, threw for 420 yards and two touchdowns while completing 47 of his career high 72 pass attempts. It was a lot of passes thrown but it got the job done as the upset minded Red Raiders completed the job. Sam Bradford, the quarterback for the Sooners and the nation's leading passer, left the game with a concussion in the first quarter with the Sooners up 7-3. After he left the game with the lead, the Red Raiders pulled off 24 straight points to go up 27-7. The Sooners were down by 17 at halftime and they tried to play from behind the rest of the way and they couldn't come through. With the loss, there are many teams who can start thinking about the national title still. Kansas, Missouri, West Virginia, and Ohio State all won their games yesterday, keeping their hopes alive in this crazy college football season. With the loss of Oregon and Oklahoma, will Kansas play in the national championship game? Can Ohio State climb back into the title game?
