Redskins' Taylor Shot And Critically Injured

Washington Redskins free safety Sean Taylor was shot early Monday morning at his home in Florida and investigators believe it may have been a possible burglary attempt. Taylor, who's tied in the NFC for the most interceptions with Dallas Cowboys defensive back Anthony Henry at 5, was taken to a hospital in a helicopter and was listed in critical condition. Taylor, who played for the University of Miami Hurricanes in college, has a home in Miami. The Redskins just came off of a game in Florida against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, which they lost 19-13. Taylor did not play in that game because of a knee injury which has forced him out the past two games. No information from his family or from investigators has been released about how many times he was shot. Taylor has been in trouble throughout his 4 year NFL career on and off the field. He was fined $17,000 after spitting on Buccaneers running back Michael Pittman two years in a wild card playoff game. Taylor was also in trouble with the law two years ago after brandishing a gun in a crowd and threatening people he believed stole his ATV vehicle. He reached a deal in which the felony charges were dropped in exchange for community service time. What do you think this shooting was related to? Was it just a burglary attempt or was it payback for something Taylor did previously? Will this affect Taylor's possible long career? Will it affect the Redskins this season?
